Madhu was born in India, moved to the US in 1973, and has proudly called Naperville her home since 1988. She is grateful to her parents for instilling in her a passion for education. She holds a master’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Delhi University, a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from University of Illinois at Chicago and a doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Aurora University.
After working as a clinical dietitian at Loyola University in Maywood, Madhu obtained her teaching certificate and taught middle school Science in Glen Ellyn and Naperville. She went on to serve as the Director of Science, Math, and Health programs at two school districts, including Schaumburg School District 54.
From the time her children were in school, Madhu has carved out time for community service. From Girl Scout Leader to Great Books Volunteer, she is happy to have done it all — and done it with passion!
